The Wine Center presents: A Vintner Chat with Dr. Carole Meredith and Aaron Pott
September 29 – 5:30 p.m.
Dr. Carole Meredith is co-owner of Lagier-Meredith Vineyard and professor emerita of UC Davis’ Department of Viticulture and Enology. She is recognized for her groundbreaking use of DNA markers to identify wine grape varieties. Aaron Pott, Meadowood Vintner Member and owner of Pott Wine and Huis Clos Consulting, joins her in a conversation hosted by The Wine Center. These longtime collaborators and friends will discuss the nature of their working relationship and what the future holds as Pott takes over management of the Lagier-Meredith Vineyard. We’ll taste wines made by both vintners along with charcuterie and cheeses. Reservation is required. $125 per guest

Wine Dinner: Exploring the Cal-Ital Connection with David Cilli of Promontory and Dan Patroski of Massican
October 7 – 6 p.m. at Forum
Along with The Wine Center, David Cilli of Promontory and Dan Petroski of Massican will be presenting views on the ongoing conversation between Italy and California, from historical, climatic, and personal perspectives. Featured wines include Massican Gemina alongside a Fiano, a library vintage of Napa Cabernet Sauvignon with a Super-Tuscan, and Brunello alongside Promontory. These wines will be paired with a three-course meal and dessert by Chefs Scot Livingston and Kristin Davison. This experience is open to the public. Reservation is required. $500 per guest
